Danville Man Arrested On Charges Of Selling Drugs To Minors

DANVILLE, CA — A Danville man was arrested on several drug-related charges, including selling illegal drugs to minors, according to a news release from the town.

Last week, Danville police performed a traffic stop on 32-year-old resident Mark Allen, and say they found illegal drugs. Police obtained a search warrant on Allen’s home, where they say they found significant quantities of illegal drugs, including methamphetamine, prescription pills, magic mushrooms, and cannabis vape pens.

Allen was arrested on several charges, including the possession, transportation, and sale of illegal drugs; selling drugs to a minor, child endangerment, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Allen was taken to the Martinez Detention Facility and is being held on $285,000 bail.

“This is a situation that put children in our community at risk, and I am extremely proud of the investigative work that led to removing these drugs from circulation,” Danville Chief of Police Allan Shields said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing our investigation and assisting the District Attorney’s Office with potential prosecution.”
