Danville Mechanics Bank To Change Locations

The bank will move from its current location inside Lunardi's to a 4900-square-foot location nearby.

DANVILLE, CA — The Danville branch of Mechanics Bank is moving from its location inside Lunardi’s Market to a new space at 185 Railroad Avenue, the company announced Monday.

Starting Monday, Aug. 28, the bank will be located in a new 4900-square-foot facility at the intersection of Railroad and Prospect, across the parking lot from the current location. The new facility, which once housed a Chase Bank, will feature the same staff, plenty of parking, a full service ATM and a night depository.

“Our new, highly visible office offers a larger, more personal and updated banking environment,” company spokesperson Greg Jones told Patch in an email.

The current branch and its ATM operations will be suspended at noon Friday, and resume in the new location on Monday at 9 a.m. Customers affected by the move have been informed that their accounts will transfer automatically. Over the weekend, customers can use ATMs at several nearby locations. Any other questions can be directed to the company’s customer service line at 800-797-6324, which is staffed M-F from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Mechanics Bank is an independent bank headquartered in Walnut Creek that boasts approximately $18 billion in assets, and 115 branches.
