Danville Old Town Hall Considered As Temporary Fire Station
SRVFPD is interested in using 510 La Gonda Way as a temporary Station 31 while the existing station is rebuilt.

DANVILLE, CA — On Wednesday, the Danville Town Council will participate in a study session to explore turning the old town offices and police station at 510 La Gonda Way into a temporary fire station for the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.
The fire district is rebuilding Station 31, located at 800 San Ramon Valley Boulevard, according to a town staff report. The rebuild is expected to take up to 24 months, and the fire district is looking for a temporary location within Danville to relocate employees and equipment.
Town and fire district staff both believe that 510 La Gonda is the best option, though a few issues must be worked out:

Timing for future residential development of the property
510 La Gonda was identified as a site of future housing to helpful the town fulfill its RHNA obligations in its current housing element. The housing element identifies a proposed timeline for development of the property, which has construction beginning by the end of 2028. Town staff spoke with housing consultants who believe that the town can achieve this timeline by pursuing early steps of the process while the SRVFPD is still using the property.
The meeting will take place Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. See here for the full agenda, and here for more information on 510 La Gonda.
