Danville Police Youth Academy Registration Open
Danville children can learn all about the inner workings of law enforcement this summer.
The Danville Police Department has opened applications for the summer Danville Police Youth Academy and Junior Youth Academy. This summer academy offers a look behind the scenes of what a career law enforcement is really like, led by Danville Police Department officers and staff. There are two summer sessions: a one-day academy for youth ages 11-13 and a four-day academy for ages 14-18.
These behind-the-scenes academies are unlike anything you have ever encountered before. Youth will have the chance to learn about the exciting career of Law Enforcement through demonstrations in police tactics, forensic collections, report writing, investigations and traffic patrol in addition to a special tour of the Danville Police Department.
