Danville Resident Arrested On Illegal Fireworks Charges
A resident of Diablo Road was setting off large fireworks in front of many people, according to the Danville Police Department.

DANVILLE, CA — A Diablo Road resident was arrested on charges of setting off illegal fireworks, according to the Danville Police Department.
On Friday, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Diablo Road, where they reportedly observed an unnamed person igniting large fireworks in front of multiple people. He was arrested on charges of possessing illegal fireworks, and transported to Danville Police Department for processing.
Possessing illegal fireworks is a misdemeanor in California that can lead to fines of $1000 and up to a year in county jail. Possession and use of high-explosive fireworks can be charged as a felony and results in fines of up to $50,000 and three years in prison.
