Danville Seeking Performers Over 50 For Annual Senior Variety Show

Auditions will be held on July 29 for the Sept. 17 show at the Village Theatre. Acts should be 3 to 5 minutes long.

DANVILLE, CA —The Town of Danville has announced details about the 4th Annual Senior Variety Show, which will be held in early fall.

The show will take place on Sept. 17 at 1:30 p.m. at the Village Theatre, located at 233 Front St. Tickets will go on sale in early August, according to organizers.

Auditions for the show are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 29 at the theater. Anybody over 50 years old is eligible to audition for the show, which requests 3 to 5-minute acts. Interested performers can set up an audition by contacting Kellie Schuyler at kschuyler@danville.ca.gov or by calling (925) 314-3450.

"Danville's seniors should start polishing their performances," the show's organizers said in a statement. "This fast-paced array of performances will include a wide variety of 3 to 5-minute acts. Previous shows have included dance, singing, musical performances, stand-up comedy, clogging, skits, poetry reading, and more."
