DANVILLE, CA — The Danville Town Council is set to approve an 167-unit multifamily development at 3020 Fostoria Way, meaning it is expected to pass without debate. The development, which was approved by the Danville Planning Commission in January 2024, includes 124 market-rate townhome, and 43 apartments for low and very-low-income households. The Regulatory Agreement and Declaration of Restrictive Covenants ensures that these units will remain affordable for at least 55 years under state-mandated income restrictions, based on Contra Costa County median income levels.

The approval is part of the council's consent calendar for its Tuesday meeting, meaning it is not subject to debate. The council will finalize the affordable housing agreement, which will allow developers to build additional units in exchange for including affordable housing, per California's Density Bonus Law. The agreement helps Danville fulfill its 2023-2031 Housing Element, which is required to increase the town's stock of affordable housing. See here to learn more.

The meeting will take place Tuesday at 5 p.m. at 201 Front Street, and will be streamed here. See here for the full agenda.
