Devil Mountain Run Registration Available
The famous Danville race includes a $600 prize for the Mile of Truth run, as well as a 5K, 10K, and races for kids and dogs.
DANVILLE, CA — Registration is open for the infamous Devil Mountain Run, a race up a steep mountain accompanied by a series of smaller races. The race will take place in Danville on May 4.
The most famous is the Mile of Truth run up Devil Mountain. The first place winner will win $600, while age group winners will win $100. The all-time record belongs to Corey Bellmore, who completed the mile in just four minutes and 13 seconds. Rachel Schneider, a 2021 Olympian, holds the women's record of 4:45. Other events include a 5K Run through downtown and some of the most scenic parts of the Iron Horse Trail, a 10K Run through Greenbrook and the Iron Horse Trail, a free Kids Fun Run along Railroad Avenue, and the Buddi Dog Love Mile to be completed with your favorite furry running companion.
