Devil Mountain Run Scheduled For Sunday In Danville

The run will feature everything from a prize race up a mountain to runs with dogs and kids.

DANVILLE, CA — Once again, Danville is preparing to conquer the infamous Devil Mountain Run, a series of runs and races taking place Sunday.

The most challenging and famous is the Mile of Truth race, where world-class athletes compete to run up an incredibly steep uphill mile. The fastest man and woman will win $600 each, though all winners must be members of the Pacific USATF to be eligible. Winners of different age and gender groups will each win $100. For a more relaxed experience, consider the Family 5K Run, the Kid’s Fun Run, or the Buddi Love Dog Run. The Flat and Fast 10K takes runners throughout Danville, from Railroad Avenue along Sycamore Valley Road and the Iron Horse Trail.
