A simple question on Patch's Facebook page brought back a lot of memories of local businesses that are no longer open.
DANVILLE, CA — Danville Patch asked our Facebook page members "If you could bring back one local business that closed in town (it doesn't matter how long ago), which would it be?"
The question got a lot of attention and brought on nostalgic feelings for many of our readers. There was a handful of favorites listed but we saw a few popular repeats.
Elegant Clutter, Jules and Bon Appetite topped the list.

"We got some amazing Christmas stuff at Elegant Clutter. I always loved how they decorated that place," one follower said.
Breakfast lovers miss Prickly Pear Cantina. One follower even deemed the restaurant as having "the best breakfast around!"

Patch reported on the cantina closing in 2020. The owner said California's harsh business climate was one of the reasons for closing.
Readers also mentioned the French bistro that was in Blackhawk Plaza and Flakey Jakes as local favorites.
