Great Greek Mediterranean Grill Opens In Danville

DANVILLE, CA — The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, a restaurant franchise with locations around the country, just opened a new 2,000-square-foot fast casual restaurant at 405 Railroad Avenue in downtown Danville. A location on 2475 San Ramon Valley Boulevard in San Ramon is opening soon, according to the franchise’s website.

The restaurant offers a menu featuring modern interpretations of Mediterranean favorites like the Great Greek Gyro, and lamb, steak, and chicken souvlaki plates complemented by Greek salads and house-made dips like hummus, tzatziki, melitzanosalata (eggplant dip) and Tirokafteri (spicy roasted red pepper). The menu also includes customizable rice bowls, feta fries, and desserts like baklava ice cream and rice pudding.

“We’re pleased to offer these fresh, flavorful meals to the community,” said Amarendra Thummeti, the local owner. “We invite everyone to visit and enjoy the best food in the area. I especially recommend the Grilled Chicken Souvlaki, cooked to perfection with Tzatziki sauce and served on a bed of rice with pita bread.”

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill seats 30 in the dining room and 12 on the patio.
