'Health & Wellness Day On The Green' Is Saturday In Danville

DANVILLE, CA — The inaugural "Health & Wellness Day on the Green" is planned Saturday on downtown Danville's Town Green — a free event featuring a celebrity guest, classes, demos and entertainment.

Hosted from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. by the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Danville, the event is intended to celebrate "health, wellness, fitness and Danville’s outstanding quality of life," according to organizers.

Brodie Brazil, host of the Oakland A’s & Sharks pre-game and post-game Live on NBC Sports California, will be in attendance, along with the town's Recreation, Arts & Community Services team. Also planned is a performance from Next Step Dance Studio.

Traffic will be affected as Front Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. between the Village Theatre municipal parking lot and the library/community center parking lot.

Motorists are advised to use caution when driving near the closure area.

Parking is available on surrounding public streets and in all downtown municipal parking lots.
