Celebrate with Hot Dogs and Games at Newly-Beautified Danville South Park

Residents are invited to enjoy the rededication ceremony for Danville South Park, one of the town's hidden parks.

TOWN OF DANVILLE RELEASE:

One of Danville’s longest standing parks, Danville South on Camino Ramon, received a makeover earlier this year as part of a beautification project.

Perhaps you've  never seen Danville's South Park at 1885 Camino Ramon, which was enclosed by walls that hid the area until recently.

Danville residents are invited to come enjoy one of Danville’s hidden gems Sept. 25, as a rededication ceremony is held for Danville South Park.

Mayor Newell Arnerich will kick off the festivities with the rededication at 4:30 p.m., followed by an open house at the park from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The event will feature games, crafts, free hot dogs and beverages.

Part of the project was the removal of  high walls that hid the park from view on Camino Ramon.

“Danville South Park is a beautiful little pocket, hidden away until now,” said Assistant to the Town Manager Nat Rojanasathira.

“This project makes the park much more accessible and will bring more children and families to this great space.”

For more information on the rededication ceremony, contact Town of Danville Administrative Secretary Diane Friedman at (925) 314-3378 or dfriedmann@danville.ca.gov.
