The Red Tie Robotics Team 1458 was honored for perseverance and teamwork at the Pinnacles Regional FIRST Robotics Competition.

DANVILLE, CA — Monte Vista High School's Red Tie Robotics 1458 won the Rising All-Star Award at the Pinnacles Regional FIRST Robotics Competition in Hollister from March 1-2, the team announced.
The award is given to teams that have demonstrated "exceptional perseverance and teamwork" during a competition to solve an engineering design problem. This year's challenge asked teams to design a robot of navigating an ocean-themed game field while completing complex tasks that simulate marine exploration and conservation efforts. The Red Tie team advanced to the semi-final playoffs.
"The team is proud of the technical expertise, resilience, and dedication they displayed at the first FRC regional competition of the 2024-25 school year and looks forward to building on this success in future events," they said in a news release.
