New Principal Coming To Creekside
The assistant principal at Dougherty Valley is taking over at Creekside Elementary School July 1.

DANVILLE, CA — Jessica Wigginton, the assistant principal of Dougherty Valley High School, will replace Alice Tumilty at Creekside Elementary School in the 2024-25 year, according to the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.
Before Dougherty Valley, Wigginton was a teacher at Pine Valley Middle School. She has a wide range of teaching experience, including as a high school teacher, after school program music director, and K-5 substitute teacher. She has a B.A. in music from San Francisco State University, a Multiple Subject Credential from Brandman University, a masters in teaching leadership from Saint Mary's College, and an Administrative Services Credential from California State University, East Bay.
"Ms. Wigginton is a passionate educator who maintains professionalism, ethics and integrity and places student achievement and well-being at the center of decision making," SRVUSD Superintendent John Malloy said in an email to families. "By meaningfully involving staff and families, she facilitates safe and inclusive environments that support a welcoming school community and provide exceptional learning opportunities for students. Ms. Wigginton maintains open lines of communication with staff and families and is dedicated to building relationships with all members of the community."

The SRVUSD Board also approved Bassant Abdelrahman as the new principal of Quail Run Elementary School in San Ramon.
