DANVILLE, CA — A portion of northbound I-680 near Sycamore Valley Road reopened Friday following an injury crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The first call came in at 10:26 a.m. Friday. The crash resulted in major injuries, and one person was transferred to John Muir Health Walnut Creek Medical Center with broken ribs, CHP Officer Robert Purl told Patch.

The right two lanes of northbound I-680 in between Sycamore Valley Road and Diablo Road were closed until 11:58 a.m., when all lanes were reopened.
