Photos: Danville Residents Enjoy The Eclipse
From the Town Green to elementary school playgrounds, Danvillers marveled at Monday's eclipse.
DANVILLE, CA — Monday morning, Danville residents and students dropped everything except their telescopes and glasses to gaze at the impressive solar eclipse above town. At around 11 a.m., many migrated to the Town Green, where they were able to view the eclipse using telescopes and binoculars donated by the Mount Diablo Astronomical Society.
At Vista Grande Elementary School, students gathered outside on the blacktop and gaped at the scene above them, while at San Ramon Valley High School, students enjoyed the eclipse from an on-site telescope.
