Registration Open For Sunday's Ridge Hike In Danville

Hikers can choose between three different hikes around Danville to raise money for breast cancer research and prevention.

DANVILLE, CA — Registration is open for the Ridge Hike, which provides different hiking options around Danville to raise money for Breast Cancer Prevention Partners. The hike has already raised $112,300 out its goal of $160,000 for breast cancer research, according to the BCPP website.

Hikers can choose between a 10.5-mile hike up the Las Trampas Ridge, a 6-mile walk on the Iron Horse Trail, or a 6.5-mile hike up the Camille Trail. All adult hikers are required to raise at least $275, while hikers 17 and under must raise at least $150. The money must be raised by July 1, 2023, and hikers must cover the remaining cost if it is not.

Tickets cost $100 for adult hikers, and $50 for students 17 and under. Tickets cover a post hike meal and drink. An extra $25 purchases an insulated Klean Kanteen bottle.
