Special Rain Messages Debut In Danville

Next time it rains, splash around downtown to find special hidden messages, and be entered into a prize raffle.

DANVILLE, CA — Rain usually isn’t the best of news, but in Danville, it now means there’s art to be enjoyed.

The town’s cultural arts team used water-resistant spray to place special themed messages on ten sidewalks around downtown Danville. The messages only appear when it rains, which is predicted Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Once visitors view all the messages, a special theme will be revealed. To view all the messages, guests can pick up a passport map at Village Theatre & Art Gallery, Danville Community Center, Danville Senior Center, or download one at www.danville.ca.gov/arts. The passport will allow participants to find all designs and guess the theme. Participants who turn in a completed passport card will receive an Auggie the Acorn coloring book, and anyone who answers the bonus question on the passport will be entered into a raffle.
