'Swing Into Danville' Brings Holiday Cheer
Visitors to downtown Danville can enjoy live music, holiday workshops, decoration contests, visits from Santa, and more.
DANVILLE, CA — Danville is hosting a number of events to spread holiday cheer and support local businesses.
On Saturday, the town is celebrating Small Business Saturday by giving out free "I Love Danville" canvas tote bags with purchase at select stores, while supplies last.
Every Saturday from Nov. 30 to Dec. 21 from 1-3 p.m., visitors can enjoy live swing and jazz performances at the new Prospect Park Plaza.

Danville businesses are also competing in the Storefront Decorating Contest from Dec. 7 to Jan. 4. Visitors are encouraged to stroll downtown and vote for their favorite display. Anyone who votes will be entered into a free weekly drawing to win prizes from local businesses.
Children who drop off letters to Santa at Santa's Mailbox from Dec. 2-13 are promised a letter from Santa himself by Christmas Eve. Kids from 1-9 can also meet Santa at the Elf Workshop from Dec. 13-14, where they can take photos and decorate holiday crafts.

On Dec. 12, children 8-12 can enjoy a Holiday Hangout with games, challenges, crafts, and prizes.
