  • Storyteller Megumi with "Heroic Women From Around the World." Part of the International Storytelling Festival at San Ramon Library. For kids and adults, 7-8 p.m.

  • Cheers for Charity at Pyramid Brewery. The brewery is donating 10 percent of all sales to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. All day. Walnut Creek.

    • Book Sale. Purchase gently used books to support San Ramon Library and Dougherty Station Library collections, events and programs; held in San Ramon Library Community Room upstairs. 10-5 p.m. More information here.

    • Danville Relay for Life.  Celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. Monte Vista High School., 9 a.m Saturday to 9 a.m Sunday

    • Danville Farmers’ Market. Railroad and Prospect Avenue, 9 a.m-1 p.m.

  • Garden Tea Party honoring Ruth Quayle Boone featuring a traditional tea service at Ruth Quayle Boone's historic home. 3-5 p.m., $25.
