Trenching Work Closing Part Of Hartz Avenue

Drivers are asked to avoid the area through Tuesday.

DANVILLE, CA - Crews are digging a trench Monday and Tuesday along Hartz Avenue between School Street and Hartz Way, the town announced. The work is part of the Downtown Master Plan Catalyst Project.

Southbound traffic on Hartz Avenue will be diverted at Church Street to Railroad Avenue. Work will happen outside school traffic times. This work is some of the final work of Phase 1 of the Downtown Master Plan Catalyst Project, which is expected to conclude in the late fall.

  • Traffic calming and beautification improvements at 5 intersections along Hartz Avenue from School Street to Linda Mesa Avenue
