Woman Cyclist Killed In Alamo: CHP

An adult woman was fatally struck by a car while traveling under an I-680 overpass, according to the California Highway Patrol.

ALAMO, CA — A woman cyclist was fatally struck by a car in Alamo Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Just before 11:12 a.m., an adult woman was traveling westbound on Livorna Road under the I-680 overpass, according to CHP. A black Toyota bZ3X parked on the right shoulder of westbound Livorna Road drove into the roadway and crashed into the approaching cyclist.

CHP and other emergency crews arrived on scene and found that the cyclist had sustained fatal injuries, and was pronounced dead on the scene. The Toyota driver was not injured. No arrests have been made, CHP told the Bay Area News Group. The victim's identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
