Former Aggie Signed to the New England Patriots
UC Davis alum Jonathan Compas was part of a busy day of signing by one of the league's most consistent teams.
Among the players signed today by the New England Patriots was former UC Davis Aggie Jonathan Compas.
The team, which has had dynasty-like success over the past decade, re-signed running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis and signed offensive lineman Chris Morris and rooky free agent running back Richard Medlin in addition to Compas.
“He had some experience in Tampa Bay,” said Patriots Director of Player Personnel Nick Caserio in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.

Compas was released by the Buccaneers in September of last season.
He was born in Orange, Calif. and raised in Yorba Linda and Carslbad. He played at UC Davis between 2004 and 2008, eventually graduating with a degree in International Relations.

He first signed with the Oakland Raiders out of college, but was later claimed on waivers by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
