Cal Poly Pomona Alum, STEM Expert to Give Talk

The following information about an upcoming event featuring speaker Virginia Grebbien discussing the role of STEM education was provided by Cal Poly Pomona.

Who: Virginia Grebbien, president of Parsons Environment & Infrastructure (PE&I), will kick off the Cal Poly Pomona College of Engineering’s newly established Distinguished Lectureship Series. Grebbien is a Cal Poly Pomona alumna and is a female leader in the STEM disciplines, which have long been dominated by men.

What: Grebbien will discuss her experiences leading a business unit focused on the environment, water, and sustainable energy for a leading engineering and construction firm. She will also provide her perspective on the future of engineering education and its importance to society.

When: The lecture will be held Nov. 7 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cal Poly Pomona’s Bronco Student Center in the Ursa Major Suite. Cal Poly Pomona is located at 3801 W. Temple Ave.
