Boy On Bike Hit By Car In Dublin: Police

A 10-year-old boy is in serious condition after being struck by a car Wednesday morning in Dublin.

DUBLIN, CA — A 10-year-old boy is in serious condition after being hit by a car in Dublin Wednesday morning, according to Dublin police.

The boy was riding his bike westbound on Davona Drive near Chatham Street when he was hit by a car driving eastbound on Davona Drive. Police say the boy suffered “significant injuries,” and is currently being treated at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland.

The driver stayed on-scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said. They do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor.

Police are not releasing either party’s identity at this time. The event remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Dublin Police Services at 925-833-6670.
