Officials say the phone company is working on a fix, and emphasize that 911 remains fully available for emergencies in Dublin.

Fremont man sentence sentenced to life after failed attempt to back out of plea deal (sanluisobispo.com) — A Fremont man has been sentenced to 29 years to life in prison after a judge upheld his no-contest murder plea, following recorded calls from Santa Rita Jail in Dublin where he tried to blame his attorney. The killing happened behind a Fremont Smart & Final in 2023, and the defendant has already filed paperwork to appeal the sentence.
