Jack Maggiora and Brendan Moddelmog combined for what's believed to be the school's first no-hitter in more than 20 years.

DUBLIN, CA – Starter Jack Maggiora pitched six innings and Brendan Moddelmog worked the seventh to close the deal on Dublin’s first no-hitter in more than 20 years as the Gaels beat Livermore 1-0 Wednesday in an East Bay Athletic League game.

Maggiora (2-5) struck out two batters and issued one walk in what’s believed to be the school’s first no-hitter since 2000, the school wrote on its website.

The junior right-hander was coming off what before Wednesday was his best start; Maggiora struck out a season-high seven batters and walked one in six innings of two-hit ball in an April 27 in a 3-2 league win against Amador Valley.
