98 COVID-19 Cases At Santa Rita Jail

DUBLIN, CA — The Alameda County Sheriff's Office reported nearly 100 active COVID-19 cases linked to Santa Rita Jail as of Monday.

That includes 87 inmates, just nine of whom are symptomatic, according to the sheriff's office. Eleven workers have also tested positive for COVID-19. No inmates have died and two have been hospitalized as a result of their illness.

Another 188 inmates have recovered and remain in custody, while 92 inmates have recovered and are no longer in custody.
