California Approves Emergency Fire Resources For Alameda County

The California Office of Emergency Services is placing fire resources in high-risk areas across the state as critical fire weather persists.

ALAMEDA COUNTY — The California Office of Emergency Services is proactively placing fire resources in high-risk areas across the state as critical fire weather persists, the agency announced Tuesday. Cal OES has allotted critical fire engines and personnel across multiple counties to respond to fires, including across the Bay Area.

In Alameda County, prepositioned fire resources include:

  • 5 local government engines
  • 1 local government hand crew
  • 1 local government water tender
  • 1 local government dispatcher

The Alameda County Fire Department said this will include OES Type-3 Engines from Alameda County, Fremont, Oakland and Hayward.
