Cooling Centers Open In Dublin During Extreme Heat
The city has opened plenty of spots to cool down as temperatures hover around 100 for the next few days.
DUBLIN, CA — With temperatures expected to rise to 106 degrees Tuesday in Dublin, it’s important to stay cool and hydrated. The city has opened up the following cooling centers. All except The Wave are closed July 4.
- The Dublin Senior Center: M-F 9-4, Saturday, 9-noon.
- Dublin Library: 10-8 M-Th, 1-5 weekends.
- Lobbies at Dublin Civic Center and Shannon Community Center: M-F 8-5
- The Wave: 11-6 daily
Temperatures are expected to hover around 100 until Sunday, when the Excessive Heat Warning ends at 8 p.m. Dublin is also under a Red Flag Warning until Tuesday at 11 p.m.
The National Weather Service recommends the following safety tips:

- Drink plenty of fluids
- Avoid spending time outside if possible, and stay out of the sun
- Know the signs of heat stroke, which include a throbbing headache, confusion, nausea, dizziness, fever, strong pulse, fainting, and more
- Keep the air conditioning on
- Wear loose and lightweight clothing
- Never leave young children or pets unattended in a vehicle
