Don Biddle Memorial Scholarship Applications Open

Seniors graduating in 2025 who are attending college and interested in pursuing public service can win $1000 scholarships.

DUBLIN, CA — Graduating Dublin high school seniors are invited to apply for the Don Biddle Memorial Scholarship, which awards $1000 to students attending a college or vocational school in fall 2025.

The scholarship is named for Don Biddle, who served the community in various capacities for over 40 years, including the Dublin City Council from 2008 until his death in 2018. It is awarded to a graduating senior who lives in Dublin with demonstrated skills in civic leadership, who is interested in pursuing a career in public service. The application consists of three essay questions, and requires two letters of recommendation from non-relatives. See here for instructions.

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, April 15 at 5 p.m. Applications can be mailed to sarah.monnastes@dublin.ca.gov or mailed to the city manager’s office at 100 Civic Plaza, Dublin, CA 94568.
