DSRSD Seat Remains Open; Application Deadline This Week

No candidates filed to run for the east Dublin seat in the November election. Find out how you can apply.

DUBLIN, CA — Friday marks the deadline for residents to apply for a vacant seat on the Dublin San Ramon Services District.

The Division 5 seat, which represents Dublin east of Hacienda Drive, remains vacant after no candidates sought to run for election. Any applicants must live within the boundaries of the district

Divisions 1 and 3 were also on the November 2020 ballot, but only one candidate in each division sought the office. Those candidates were appointed and sworn in Dec. 15.

The nonpartisan office sets policies for DSRSD, oversees the hiring and operations of the DSRSD general manager, and appoints officers.

The appointee would service until the next DSRSD election in 2022, at which time a new director will be selected, according to DSRSD.

Applicants have until 5 p.m. Friday to submit an application form.
