DUBLIN, CA — With wildfires popping up constantly, the concept of defensible space - creating a buffer against wildfires - is more important than ever.

The city of Dublin and the Alameda County Fire Department are hosting a defensible space training event to teach residents how to manage the area around their homes. The training is especially important for homeowners who live near hillsides and open spaces.

The training will cover the principles of defensible space, how to implement them, and relevant laws and regulations.
