Dublin Business Awarded 'Small Business of the Year' by Assemblymember Buchanan

Dublin Cyclery earned the award for 2014.

Assemblymember Joan Buchanan (D-Alamo) recognized Dublin Cyclery as the 2014 Small Business of the Year for the 16th Assembly District at the awards luncheon on June 14 in Sacramento celebrating California Small Business Day 2014.

"Dublin Cyclery exemplifies the many small businesses that contribute to our quality of life and help build strong local economies.  I am proud to honor Chuck Tyler and Dublin Cyclery for their contributions."

Chuck Tyler opened Dublin Cyclery in 1965. An avid cycler himself, Chuck wanted to open a business to sell and service bicycles.  Dublin Cyclery has grown from its original 800 square foot facility to its current 5,000 square foot store in the heart of Dublin.

Chuck Tyler believes giving back to the community is an integral part of his business. Dublin Cyclery participates in the Street Smarts Bicycle Program, a program that teaches bicycle safety to elementary and middle school students.  Chuck has been very active in the Dublin Chamber of Commerce serving as Chair for two years. They also participate in “Bike to Work Week” and other events that encourage cycling as an alternative method of transportation.

"I commend Chuck Tyler and Dublin Cyclery for their success and long-standing commitment to the Dublin community."
