DUBLIN, CA — December is officially here, and Dublin is celebrating with tree lightings and Santa.

On Thursday evening at 6 p.m., the city will gather at Civic Plaza for the lighting of the 30-foot holiday tree. The ceremony will begin with performances from local school choirs and bands, followed by the illumination of the tree. Afterwards, guests can enjoy riding on the Clover Express holiday train, arts and crafts, writing letters to Santa, and a booth serving hot chocolate and cookies.

Kids don't need to be content with just writing letters to Santa: two days later, they can meet him in person. St. Nick will be stopping by the Shannon Community Center from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday for Breakfast with Santa. Guests can enjoy photos with Santa and a breakfast of sausage, fruit, coffee, and fruit.
