Registered volunteers will receive detailed information prior to the event. In the meantime, volunteers should prepare to wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, a hat, and sunscreen, and bring a reusable water bottle. Tools will be provided, but volunteers can bring their own work gloves or litter pickers.

Residents are also encouraged to clean litter in their neighborhoods year-round, and record data on the CleanSwell app. Volunteers are asked not to go into creek areas unless participating in a formal cleanup event.
