Dublin 'Deck The Homes' Home Decorating Contest Registration Open

DUBLIN, CA — Dublin is about to sparkle with bright lights and creativity as residents try to outdo one another for the annual "Deck the Homes" Holiday Home Decorating Contest.

Applications are now open until Dec. 5 to enter your home to win one of the following categories:

• People's Choice Award: Popular vote
• Winter Wonderland Award: Best use of music, movement, and technology
• Over-Inflated Award: Best use of inflatables
• Deck the Halls Award: Prettiest apartment or balcony
• Dashing Debut Award: For first-time decorators
• Spotlight Award: Judges choose their favorite overall display
• GOAT Award (new): Honoring the best of the best

The deadline to register is Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. Judging will be done by the Parks and Community Services Commission between Dec. 8-11, 2025. Anyone entering should make sure that all their decorations are up and running from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on these dates.

Winners will be selected at the Dec. 15 Parks and Community Services Commission meeting, and winners will be announced the following day. Winners will be recognized at the Jan. 13 City Council meeting, and will also receive a yard sign, certificate of recognition, and a gift card to a local business.
