Dublin Distance Fiesta To Host 3,000 Student Runners
On Friday and Saturday, Dublin High School will host runners from over 150 high schools in one of the largest events in the country.
DUBLIN, CA — After a weekend of St. Patrick's Day revelry, it’s off to the races in Dublin. Dublin High School will host nearly 3,000 student athletes from over 150 high schools for the 14th annual Dublin Distance Fiesta, one of the largest races in the country.
On Friday evening and all-day Saturday, runners from around the state will compete in 800, 1600, and 3200-meter races, and a Distance Medley Relay. See here for a meet schedule.
The Distance Fiesta has become so well known that the USA Olympic Committee has twice come to see how the event is run, according to an event spokesperson.

The races will be held at DHS’s Gaels Stadium on 8151 Village Parkway on Friday from 6-9 p.m., and Saturday from 8-10 p.m.. A live DJ will spin music throughout both events.
