Dublin High Schoolers Hosting Community Hackathon

Circuit Bakers and Tri-Valley Excel are sponsoring a virtual Circuit Hacks hackathon Dec. 14. Participants can win up to $500.

DUBLIN, CA — A group of Dublin high schoolers are organizing a hackathon designed to inspire local students to explore STEM and coding.

Circuit Bakers, a local high school FIRST Robotics Competition team that has won numerous competitions, is sponsoring working with Tri-Valley Excel to sponsor Circuit Hacks, a virtual hackathon for kids in grades 3-8, on Saturday, Dec. 14.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., students will compete in hands-on challenges with the help of mentors, and listen to talks from guest speakers from UC Berkeley.

No experience is necessary, and participants can win up to $500 in prizes.

"Circuit Hacks aims to promote STEM among the community’s youth both through insightful talks from guest speakers and a collaborative experience honing these skills in a supportive environment," Circuit Bakers member Adi Jain said in an email.
