Dublin Hosting Tree Lighting Event Thursday
Gather at the Civic Center to light a 30-foot tree and a chance to meet Santa Claus.

DUBLIN, CA — It's the most wonderful time of year in Dublin, when the city gathers together to light a 30-foot tree in front of the Civic Center.
On Thursday at 6 p.m., the city will gather for a tree lighting, complete with local school choirs, bands, the Clover Express train, arts and crafts, a spot to mail letters to Santa, and a booth for hot chocolate and cookies.
Visitors won't just be able to send Santa letters: they'll get to meet the man himself. In addition to visiting the tree lighting Thursday, Santa will also host a pancake breakfast Saturday at the Shannon Community Center, where guests can enjoy a full pancake breakfast and take photos with Santa. Guests can attend sessions at 8:30 a.m., 8:45 a.m., and 11 a.m. The event costs $15 per person for residents and $18 for non-residents. Proceeds benefit the Dublin High School music program, which will play at the breakfast.
