Dublin Launches 2nd Round Of COVID Residential Rent Assistance
Apply for the program by June 20.
DUBLIN, CA — The City of Dublin is launching a second round of the COVID-19 Residential Rent Assistance Program (“Program”), which is intended to reduce the potential risk of homelessness and preserve housing stability for existing Dublin residents. Eligible households may qualify for a maximum $6,000 or six-months’ rent, whichever is less.
The first round of the Program, opened in early 2021, was funded by the CARES Act through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, and assisted 40 Dublin households through a total of $176,277 in awarded funds.

The second round of the Program, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), will accept applications beginning Monday, May 23, 2022, through Monday, June 20, 2022. Recipients will be chosen via a random lottery drawing if awards exceed available funding. The Program seeks to assist those who are suffering temporary financial setback due to the COVID-19 public health emergency and need help with delinquent rent payments.
