Dublin Student Organizes Dublin Youth TEDx Conference
Charvi Appana organized the conference, where nine students presented their ideas on how to improve innovation in different fields.

DUBLIN, CA — Nine Dublin students participated in the first TEDx Youth Conference at Dublin High School, organized by DHS senior Charvi Appana.
"Dublin is a super diverse and vibrant community, so I wanted to give youth a chance to talk about their various projects and ideas that they have for innovation," Appana told Patch. "I thought organizing a TEDx Youth Conference would be perfect to celebrate curiosity and to spark meaningful conversations outside of the conference hall. I believe it was a great way for like minded people to connect and to create something to inspire and empower people."
Appana spoke to clubs like the National Honors Society, Future Health Professionals, the California Scholarship Federation, and Distributive Education Clubs of America to find speakers and audience members. On Oct. 19, over 50 people watched talks about mental health AI, cultural heritage, OCD awareness, and college admissions. Students from Dublin High School, Emerald High School, California High School, and one from San Diego gave the following talks:

"Being exposed to so many different ideas conveyed by peers all over Dublin was a truly unique experience, and it expanded my curiosity and knowledge on the various innovations that fellow students have created," said speaker Sanjana Ramachandran.
