DUBLIN, CA — The Dublin Unified School District is the fourth best school district in Alameda County, according to ranking website Niche. It ranks behind the Albany City Unified School District (3rd), Pleasanton Unified School District (2nd), and Piedmont City Unified School District.
DUSD ranked 13th in the Bay Area, 42nd in California, and 280th in the United States.

The district received an overall grade of A+, based on quantitative data and parent and student surveys. Its academics and college prep received an A+, and teachers received an A. Its lowest score was food, which received a C plus.

Dublin High School was ranked the seventh best public high school in Alameda County (the best was Piedmont High School in Piedmont), and the 36th best public high school in the Bay Area. It received an overall grade of A, with an A+ for teachers, an A for academics and college prep.
Emerald High School did not receive any rankings because it is too new.

Wells Middle School received an A, and was ranked the 13th best public middle school in Alameda County.
Fallon Middle School was not listed.
Nearby, Pleasanton Unified School District received an overall grade of A+, and was ranked 2nd in Alameda County, 9th in the Bay Area, and 17th in California. Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District received an overall grade of A, and was ranked 9th in Alameda County, 25th in the Bay Area, and 98th in California. San Ramon Valley Unified School District was ranked the second best school district in Contra Costa County, the 11th best in the Bay Area, and 28th in California.
Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District was ranked the best school district in the Bay Area and the second best in California, overtaking Palo Alto Unified School District. La Cañada Unified School District was ranked the best in California, while Glenbrook High School District in suburban Chicago was ranked the best school district in the nation.
Rankings are calculated based on academic performance, test scores, input from students, alumni and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education.
