Saanvi loves Scouting because it challenges her to step up as a leader and to serve the community in meaningful ways. Working with her troop, mentoring younger Scouts, and being part of something bigger than herself has shaped who she is. Scouting has taught her responsibility, teamwork, and how to stay calm and focused when things get difficult. Completing the required merit badges gave her an extensive learning opportunity in many different subject areas.
For her Eagle Scout project, mini space space-exploration exhibits were created. Troop 2942 Scouts built custom wooden base boards for the rocket models, cutting, drilling, sanding, painting, and assembling them to fit the varying dimensions of library display cases. Saanvi also led the digital design effort, creating identification labels, informational graphics, brochures, visitor handouts, and marketing materials used at all locations. The exhibits are placed in public libraries, schools, and universities for kids, teens, and visitors to experience 1:144 scale models of modern rockets up close and learn about space advancements, aerospace, engineering, and the future of space exploration.
