DUBLIN, CA — Roughly 80,000 people descended on Dublin over the weekend for some Celtic magic, one of the city’s turnout records.

Dublin Recreation Supervisor Anthony Calvo said the run raised $65,157, an increase of just under $9,000 from 2023. “The City of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend of events was fantastic,” city spokesperson Shari Jackman said in a statement. “The weather was spectacular, and both residents and visitors alike were in great spirits, commemorating St. Patrick’s Day. We were delighted to have visitors from our Sister City of Bray, Ireland, to help us celebrate this year. There was a great variety of things to do and see at the festival, including a wonderful drone show on Saturday night. You can’t beat St. Patrick’s Day in the City of Dublin, California!”
