Plans Underway For Dublin's National Night Out

The annual event promoting police and community partnerships will take place nationwide Tuesday, Aug. 1.

DUBLIN, CA — As summer continues to heat up, plans for Dublin's National Night Out are already under way with individual neighborhoods planning everything from barbeques and potlucks to block parties, and residents wishing to have a representative from the Dublin Police Department visit their party will need to register with the city before July 21, Dublin PD said in a news release.

National Night Out, when residents from around the city, along with thousands of others across the country, will turn on their outside lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police, is celebrated by millions of people annually.

The event promoting police and community partnerships, will take place in Dublin and across the nation Tuesday Aug. 1.

"We are excited to meet with residents during this year's National Night Out event on August 1, 2023," Dublin PD said. "Those who register their events with Dublin Police will receive a visit from Dublin Police, Alameda County Fire, and/or Dublin City officials."
