Tri-Valley Youth Hockey Team Wins State Championship
The Tri-Valley Blue Devils won the California state youth hockey championship after a perfect, undefeated season.

DUBLIN, CA — The Tri-Valley Blue Devils 10A-1, a Dublin-basedyouth hockey team comprising players from all over the Tri-Valley, won the state championship following a perfect season. The last time the team won the championship was for the 2014-15 season.
The team of athletes aged 10-11 won numerous competitions and awards on their way to the championship, including the Northern California Division Title, and the Squirt International Tournament in South Dakota, where they competed against 63 teams from the country. They even took second place in the San Jose Jr. Shark's Labor Day Bash, where they narrowly lost at a game played against 12 and 13-year-olds.
The team, many of whom have played together since they were four and five years old, scored a total of 126 goals in the regular season. Five players rank among the top 10 in the NorCal 10A division in total points for the 2024-25 season. Goalie M. Hua is ranked as the top goalie in NorCal, with a 0.915 save percentage, the best in the entire 10A division, according to the team.

"We knew coming into the season that based on talent alone, this team would win its fair share of games. What has impressed me about these kids has been their ability to evolve as hockey players. Their hard work, dedication, commitment to the team (we before me), respect for the game, and attention to detail all helped propel them to more success than I had anticipated and those same characteristics will help propel them to great things in the future," said Head Coach Jordan Cardillo.
