After the two-hour standoff, the man was taken to a hospital for treatment before processing, according to police.
DUBLIN, CA — A man who was believed to be armed and involved in a domestic incident led police across multiple jurisdictions, ramming vehicles and fleeing authorities until the pursuit culminated with a lengthy standoff in Dublin, according to law enforcement.
The incident began Friday night in Tracy, where police were notified that a man was stalking his former partner and trying to break into her home, according to Sgt. Mike Richards. Officers following up the next morning learned the man had a knife and had expressed an interest in being killed by police, Richards said.
Law enforcement found the man's vehicle, pursued him and tried to spin out the car, according to Richards, who said the man attempted to ram patrol vehicles, but that officers were not hurt. He then left Tracy and California Highway Patrol pursued the car, Richards said.

Dublin police and surrounding agencies stopped the car, but the man refused to exit the Altima and rammed police vehicles to escape, with Dublin authorities in pursuit, according to law enforcement. Spike strips disabled the Altima, ending the chase, police said.
The man stopped the Altima in the parking lot of an office building in the 4100 block of Dublin Boulevard, tried unsuccessfully to flee and barricaded himself in the car, according to police.
Authorities used negotiators, nonlethal weapons and chemical agents with no success, police said, while the man made threats indicating he had more weapons and rammed multiple patrol vehicles as he attempted to escape.
After more than two hours, authorities safely detained the man and he was taken to a hospital for treatment before further processing, according to police.
