Volunteer Dog Walkers, Sleepover Hosts Sought By East Bay SPCA

"These dogs have been with East Bay SPCA for weeks or months and are struggling in the shelter environment."

EAST BAY — The East Bay SPCA is look for people who can take large dogs out of the shelter on day trips or a sleepover.

"These dogs have been with East Bay SPCA for weeks or months and are struggling in the shelter environment despite the shelter's best efforts to provide them with the attention and care they need," the animal shelter said in a press release Friday.

In addition to day trippers, the East Bay SPCA is seeking adopters and fosters for large dogs.
The SPCA's two adoption shelters, in Oakland and Dublin, are open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Oakland Adoption Center is located at 8323 Baldwin St. The Dublin Adoption Center is at 4651 Gleason Drive.

To see dogs in need, visit eastbayspca.org/big-dogs. To foster a dog, take them on a field trip, or take them home for a sleepover, visit eastbayspca.org/foster or contact the foster team at foster@eastbayspca.org.
